Miami, The Gulf Observer: Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan advanced to the semifinals of the prestigious Miami Open 2026 after a commanding victory in the quarterfinals.

The world No. 2 delivered a dominant performance, defeating Jessica Pegula 6–2, 6–2 in the WTA 1000 event, according to the Kazakh Tennis Federation.

Rybakina has shown exceptional form throughout the tournament. She earlier overcame Talia Gibson 6–2, 6–3, compatriot Yulia Putintseva 6–3, 6–3, and Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk 6–3, 6–4 to reach the last four.

The Miami Open 2026 features a total prize pool of $9,415,725, with the singles champion set to receive $1,151,380 and 1,000 ranking points.
