Erdogan Calls on NATO to Persuade Netanyahu for Gaza Truce

Washington, DC, The Gulf Observer: At a NATO summit press conference today, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called upon all NATO allies to intensify pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Erdogan’s appeal aimed to secure a ceasefire and ensure the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged Gaza Strip.

Accusing Netanyahu of jeopardizing both Israeli citizens and regional stability through his expansionist and reckless policies, Erdogan underscored the urgency of the situation. He emphasized that any collaboration between the NATO bloc and Israel would not receive Ankara’s approval until a comprehensive and sustainable peace is achieved in Palestine.

“Until comprehensive, sustainable peace is established in Palestine, attempts at cooperation with Israel within NATO will not be approved by Turkey,” Erdogan affirmed, highlighting Turkey’s stance on the matter.

The Turkish president’s remarks come amidst escalating tensions and humanitarian crises in Gaza, prompting international calls for immediate action to alleviate the suffering of civilians and restore peace to the region.
