Addressing his supporters in Ankara shortly after the announcement of the election results, President Erdogan hailed the Turkish nation’s utilization of the ballot box as a means of conveying messages to political leaders.
“Regardless of the results, the winner of this election is our democracy and national will,” declared President Erdogan, highlighting the enduring strength of democratic values in shaping the nation’s political landscape.

Meanwhile, Türkiye’s main opposition party secured control over key cities and made significant gains in local elections. Incumbent Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu of the CHP maintained a substantial lead in Türkiye’s largest city, while Mansur Yavas retained his seat as the mayor of Ankara for another five years.
With the CHP winning municipalities in 36 out of Türkiye’s 81 provinces, according to Anadolu Agency, the election results reflect a dynamic political landscape marked by competition and diverse representation.
