Ethiopia’s Global Leadership Highlighted at International Peace Conference
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: H.E. Jemal Beker, representing Ethiopia, emphasized the country’s leading role in global peacebuilding, sustainable development, and regional stability during his address at the Global Conference on International Peace and Sustainable Development in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
H.E. Jemal Beker called on the international community to draw inspiration from Ethiopia’s successful initiatives in resolving internal and external conflicts through collaborative diplomacy and cooperation. He highlighted Ethiopia’s contributions to regional integration through landmark projects such as the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) and the Green Legacy Initiative.
Moreover, he underscored Ethiopia’s significant role in promoting international peace by being one of the largest contributors to United Nations Peacekeeping Missions.
“Ethiopia has proved by example that international peace and sustainable development are attainable with consistency, determination, and the spirit of cooperation,” H.E. Jemal Beker remarked.
He urged nations to join hands in creating an inclusive and sustainable future for generations to come, affirming Ethiopia’s commitment to fostering global partnerships for peace and development.
