Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: An exhibition featuring Romanian national costumes infused with contemporary design elements inspired by traditional Uzbek attire has officially opened at the State Museum of Applied Arts of Uzbekistan.
The cultural event, jointly organized by the Embassy of Romania in Tashkent, the State Museum of Applied Arts of Uzbekistan, and renowned Uzbek fashion designer Markhamat Umarova, celebrates the fusion of Romanian and Uzbek cultural heritage through fashion and craftsmanship.

He noted the successful growth of Romania-Uzbekistan relations in recent years and emphasized that cultural exchanges serve as enduring symbols of friendship and mutual understanding between nations.
“This exhibition demonstrates how culture can bring our peoples closer together,” said the ambassador, “and underscores the potential for further cooperation in all areas.”
The exhibition, which presents a creative dialogue between Romanian and Uzbek aesthetics, is open to the public and will run until July 2, 2025.
