FC Arkadag Bolsters Squad Ahead of AFC Champions League 2 Round of 16

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: FC Arkadag has launched an active transfer campaign ahead of its key AFC Champions League 2 fixtures, placing particular emphasis on reinforcing its attacking line.

According to the club’s press service, Arkadag has signed two forwards from the Turkmenistan national team. The new additions include 22-year-old Kopetdag striker Dayanch Meredov and 24-year-old forward Rahman Myratberdiyev, who previously played for Altyn Asyr.

Earlier, the club also secured the services of 25-year-old midfielder Meylis Diniyev, formerly of Ahal and Kyrgyzaltyn, further strengthening the squad ahead of the continental competition.

FC Arkadag is set to face Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr in the Round of 16 of the AFC Champions League 2. The first leg is scheduled for February 11, with the return match to be played on February 18. The team advancing to the next stage will be determined by the aggregate score over the two legs.
