Ankara, The Gulf Observer: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan engaged in a conversation with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on December 1, focusing on key regional developments, according to sources from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The ongoing situation in Syria was the central topic of discussion. Minister Fidan reiterated Türkiye’s opposition to any actions that could further destabilize the region, stressing the necessity of reducing tensions and seeking a comprehensive solution. He emphasized the importance of finalizing the political process between the Syrian regime and the opposition to pave the way for lasting peace and stability. Minister Fidan also reaffirmed Türkiye’s steadfast stance against terrorist activities targeting both Turkish citizens and Syrian civilians.
