Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The inaugural Ain Short Film Festival, organized by the Ministry of Information, commenced its five-day activities on Wednesday under the patronage of Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat. Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information, highlighted the festival’s significant goals and its role in promoting the local film industry.

The primary objectives of the first edition of the Ain Short Film Festival include showcasing the diverse skills of participants across various facets of the film industry. The festival aims to enrich the Ain Platform with exceptional short films, contribute to the creation of meaningful media content, and facilitate the exchange of expertise among participants through workshops, seminars, and other accompanying activities.

Dr. Al Harrasi emphasized the festival’s commitment to providing a platform for emerging talents in the film industry, fostering creativity, and contributing to the development of a vibrant film culture in Oman. The winning films in the festival will have the opportunity to be featured on the Ain Platform, further promoting their work and talent.
