First Relocation Convoy Departs for Azerbaijan's Jabrayil

Baku, The Gulf Observer: In a significant step towards restoring life to Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, the first relocation convoy to the city of Jabrayil was officially seen off today, according to a report by NHC. The convoy is transporting residents who have been temporarily settled in various accommodations throughout the Republic, including dormitories, sanatoriums, pioneer camps, unfinished structures, and administrative buildings.

These residents, displaced by the conflict, have lived in provisional housing across multiple regions for years. The government of Azerbaijan has prioritized their return as part of its wider strategy to repopulate the liberated areas, particularly Jabrayil, which was freed during the Second Karabakh War.

The city of Jabrayil, undergoing major reconstruction efforts, is set to welcome its returning citizens with newly developed infrastructure and housing projects. Government officials have stressed that this first convoy is a key milestone in the broader national effort to rebuild and restore the lives of displaced communities.

Speaking at the departure ceremony, officials reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing modern living conditions and essential services for returning residents. The resettlement process aims to revitalize liberated areas, ensuring long-term stability and prosperity in the region.

The relocation convoy’s departure today marks the beginning of a comprehensive resettlement plan that will see more families return to their ancestral homes in the coming months.
