FM 98 Friendship Channel organizes event on Chinese Lunar New Year
Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: On the occasion of Chinese Lunar New Year, China Media Group’s Radio Channel in Pakistan “FM 98 Friendship Channel” organized a grand event in Islamabad which was attended by a significant number of local and Chinese fans.

Speaking on the occasion, Senator Talha Mehmood, on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan, congratulated China on the New Year and said that the long-standing relationship between the two countries has been getting stronger and stronger with the passage of time.
He said that a big project like China-Pakistan Economic Corridor was started by Chinese President Xi Jinping and in 2022 at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, President Xi also presented a clear strategy for China’s role in the world. Center Muhammad Talha Mehmood said that China is leading the world economically in the current environment of the world and thanks to the global vision and sense of responsibility of the Chinese leadership, humanity has progressed a lot.
Chargé d’affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad Feng Chen Shui in his video message congratulated China Media Group and Dosti Radio for organizing the Chinese New Year celebration and said that the New Year is an occasion to review the previous year and welcome to the future.
He said that the year 2022 was memorable for China-Pakistan relations. Our bilateral relations, cooperation in all matters of mutual interest was at a high level. So China provided timely support and assistance and so far more than 160 million dollars aid has been received by Pakistan.

He further said that the pilot project of Belt and Road and CPEC, a historic project in the new era of China-Pakistan relations, have achieved achievements in the fields of infrastructure and energy and set the direction of cooperation in the fields of industry, agriculture and science and technology. has been done which will lead to more benefits for the people of Pakistan.
The Chinese official vowed that in the new year, China will work with Pakistan to further expand bilateral cooperation and enhance people-to-people contacts, deepening this long-standing partnership and exemplifying good neighborliness. A pillar of regional peace and stability can be made.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Zafaruddin Mahmood, while addressing the ceremony, said that in recent years, the tradition of organizing the New Year celebrations of the friendly country China has been established, which is a proof of the friendship between the two countries. He said that a large number of Pakistanis are celebrating the Chinese New Year with their Chinese brothers and sisters at the event, which is very welcome and more such events should be organized.
He further said that Dosti Radio provides information and awareness among Pakistani people about Chinese culture and social style, which helps in promoting people-to-people contacts.
Director General of Radio Pakistan Muhammad Tahir Hasan while congratulating Chinese New Year on this occasion said that Pakistan and China have close relations not only at the government level but also at the public level and this is the reason why the Chinese New Year wishes. It is also celebrated with great enthusiasm in Pakistan.
He mentioned the measures taken by the Chinese leadership for the welfare of its people and said that they are a beacon for the world.
Muhammad Tahir Hasan added that the long-standing cooperation between China and Pakistan in the fields of media is continuing and further innovation is coming. Radio Pakistan has learned a lot from China Media Group’s Pakistan-based FM Dosti channel and now These experiences are also being utilized. I hope that Radio Pakistan will work in a planned manner under the same model.
