This decision comes in the wake of widespread criticism directed towards the Kazakh Government for its perceived inadequate response to the devastating floods that ravaged multiple regions of the country.
The appointment, decreed by the Head of State, signifies a strategic move to address shortcomings in governmental management and enhance disaster response mechanisms. Born on January 8, 1969, Bozumbayev brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise. A graduate of the Kazakh State Academy of Management, he has held key positions within various prominent Kazakhstani enterprises, including KazTransGas, KEGOC, Air Astana, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, and KazMunayGas.
Bozumbayev’s notable contributions extend beyond the corporate sector, as he has also served as the akim (governor) of both the Zhambyl and Pavlodar regions. Furthermore, he has previously held the esteemed position of Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and served as an Assistant to the Kazakh President.
