Four Killed, Ten Injured in Shooting at Stockton Banquet Hall

California, The Gulf Observer: Four people were killed and 10 others wounded in a shooting during a family gathering at a banquet hall in Stockton, authorities said on Saturday, according to media reports.

Heather Brent, spokesperson for the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, confirmed that the victims included both children and adults. She said early indications “suggest this may have been a targeted incident,” speaking during a news conference held at the scene.

The shooting occurred inside the banquet hall, which is located in a commercial area and shares a parking lot with several neighboring businesses.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident and have yet to determine a possible motive. Authorities did not release further details regarding the conditions of the wounded, though officials noted earlier that several victims had been transported to local hospitals.
