France confirms 51 cases of monkeypox
PARIS, TGO: The French health authorities yesterday announced the discovery of 51 cases of monkeypox, amid an increase in the number of confirmed cases globally.
The Sante Publique France (SPF) health body said that all cases were recorded in men between the ages of 22 and 63, and only one person was admitted to the hospital and subsequently discharged from it.
The United States Centres for Disease Control and Prevention yesterday reported its awareness of more than 700 cases of monkeypox worldwide, including 21 cases in the US.
