Georgian Prime Minister Condemns Drone Attack on Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan in Call with President Aliyev

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze held a telephone conversation with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on March 5, during which the two leaders discussed regional developments and bilateral cooperation between their countries.

During the call, the Georgian prime minister strongly condemned the recent unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack on Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, which was carried out by the Islamic Republic of Iran. Kobakhidze expressed solidarity with the government and people of Azerbaijan and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the incident.

President Ilham Aliyev thanked Prime Minister Kobakhidze for his phone call and for the supportive position expressed by Georgia regarding the attack.

The two leaders also exchanged views on the prospects for further strengthening Azerbaijan–Georgia bilateral cooperation and discussed other issues of mutual interest.
