Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Stresses Unity for Pakistan’s Stability; Leaders Praise Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan’s Political Legacy and Muhammad Nawaz Raza’s Contribution in Journalism

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider has said that independence is a priceless blessing, and the month of August calls upon the people of Pakistan to rise above political differences and pledge to make the country stronger and more prosperous. He emphasized that political parties have rendered great services for the nation, adding that Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan remains a highly respected figure in Pakistan’s political landscape due to his principled and dignified politics.

Speaking at a ceremony held at Idara-e-Farogh-e-Urdu Auditorium, organized to launch senior journalist and PFUJ Dastoor President Muhammad Nawaz Raza’s book “Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan: Government, Opposition and Parliament,” the Governor said that Nisar should continue to play an active role in politics, as he has always been regarded as an honorable, principled, and patriotic politician.

The event was attended and addressed by prominent political and social figures, including Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, Liaqat Baloch, Zamurd Khan, Farooq Adil, Tahir Khalil, Tariq Sameer, Malik Shakeel Hur, Ilyas Shahid, Rana Kausar Ali, Owais Latif, and others. Speakers praised Nawaz Raza’s contributions to journalism, noting that his book preserves an important chapter of Pakistan’s political history.

PPP Secretary General and former Senate Chairman Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari said Chaudhry Nisar is known as a principled politician of the Potohar region who earned respect in politics. Veteran leader Makhdoom Javed Hashmi noted that Nisar created his place in politics through honesty and decency and was among Nawaz Sharif’s closest companions, always presenting his stance with courage. JI leader Liaqat Baloch stressed the need to eliminate hatred and intolerance from politics and to promote mutual respect.

Speakers from across the political spectrum acknowledged Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan as a patriotic statesman whose political career remains an example of integrity and service. They also lauded Muhammad Nawaz Raza for his journalistic services and for documenting history through his book. Participants urged Chaudhry Nisar to return to active politics to continue serving the country and the nation.
