H.E. Dan Stoenescu Holds Productive Talks on Academic Cooperation
Lahore, The Gulf Observer: His Excellency Dan Stoenescu held a productive meeting with Prof. Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, Chairman of Superior University and The Superior Group, and Chaudhry Hamza Rehman, Vice President, to explore avenues for strengthening academic collaboration between Romania and Pakistan.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Oana Ursache from Romanian Studies at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) and Claudiu Cucu, Consul of Romania, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing educational and cultural ties.
Discussions focused on concrete pathways for Romanian-Pakistani academic partnerships in key areas including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, and Romanian studies. Both sides explored possibilities for launching joint academic programs, faculty and student exchanges, and collaborative research initiatives aimed at fostering innovation and knowledge sharing.
Emphasizing education as a pillar of strategic diplomacy, participants highlighted the role of universities in building long-term people-to-people connections and promoting mutual understanding between the two countries.
