H.E. Dan Stoenescu Proposes MoU for Enhanced Disaster Cooperation During Visit to NDMA

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: His Excellency Dan Stoenescu, Ambassador of Romania to Pakistan, paid an official visit to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) of Pakistan today, accompanied by fellow Heads of Mission from Bulgaria 🇧🇬, Hungary 🇭🇺, Czech Republic 🇨🇿, and Ukraine 🇺🇦.
The diplomatic delegation engaged in a comprehensive exchange of ideas and best practices concerning disaster preparedness, response, and resilience. The visit underscored the importance of international collaboration in addressing the increasing frequency and intensity of natural disasters.
Representing Romania, Ambassador Stoenescu proposed initiating a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the General Directorate for Civil Protection under Romania’s Ministry of Internal Affairs 🇷🇴 and Pakistan’s NDMA. This initiative aims to foster stronger cooperation and mutual support in times of emergency and crisis.
Ambassador Stoenescu reaffirmed Romania’s unwavering solidarity with Pakistan in its efforts to tackle the growing challenges posed by climate-induced disasters and pledged continued support for joint initiatives in disaster management and risk reduction.
