Hakan Fidan Meets Qatari Emir in Doha to Discuss Escalating Middle East Crisis

Hakan Fidan

Doha, The Gulf Observer: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Thursday during an official visit to Qatar, as part of Ankara’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to address escalating tensions in the Middle East.

According to Turkish diplomatic sources, the two leaders held comprehensive discussions focusing on the evolving regional security situation and potential steps to de-escalate the ongoing conflict.

During his visit, Fidan also toured the Qatar–Türkiye Joint Combined Forces Command Headquarters, underscoring the strong military and strategic cooperation between the two countries.

The visit forms part of a broader regional tour by the Turkish foreign minister aimed at engaging key stakeholders on coordinated responses to the intensifying crisis.

The diplomatic outreach comes amid heightened instability following the joint United States–Israeli offensive on Iran that began on February 28, and Tehran’s subsequent retaliatory strikes across multiple countries in the region.

Officials indicated that Türkiye continues to advocate for dialogue, regional stability, and collective efforts to prevent further escalation of the conflict.
