His Excellency Dan Stoenescu Highlights Investment Opportunities and Trade Potential During Islamabad Business Engagement

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: His Excellency Dan Stoenescu, today engaged with members of the business community at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry in a warm and substantive exchange focused on strengthening economic cooperation between Romania and Pakistan.

During the discussion, Ambassador Stoenescu outlined Romania’s evolving economic landscape and its growing appeal to global investors. He emphasized that Romania stands among the largest and fastest-converging economies within the European Union, offering full access to the EU Single Market, competitive production costs, and strong long-term growth prospects.

Highlighting Romania’s strategic advantages, he noted the country’s population of nearly 19 million and its geographical position at the crossroads of the European Union, the Balkans, the Black Sea, and the Middle East, which collectively provide both scale and stability for international business and investment.

Ambassador Stoenescu also pointed to the significant role of European Union recovery and cohesion funds, amounting to tens of billions of euros, in driving nationwide development. These investments are supporting major advancements in infrastructure, digitalization, energy, and industrial growth across Romania.

The dialogue in Islamabad underscored the strong interest of Pakistani businesses in expanding their engagement with European markets and exploring new avenues for collaboration with Romania.
