Honourable Lady Visits Jawharat Muscat School to Celebrate Omani Women's Day

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Her Highness the Honourable Lady, Spouse of His Majesty the Sultan, paid a gracious visit to the Jawharat Muscat Basic Education School for Girls in the Wilayat of A’Seeb today, coinciding with the celebrations of Omani Women’s Day on 17 October. The visit aimed to review the school’s educational achievements and meet with the teaching staff and students.

Her Highness was warmly received by Dr. Madiha Ahmed Al Shaibani, Minister of Education, and Sayyida Sana Hamad Al Busaidi, Adviser to the Minister of Education. During the visit, Her Highness was briefed on the school’s role as a cultural and educational institution and its contributions to raising awareness in the community.

She toured various departments, observing programmes designed to enhance the students’ cognitive development, and explored an educational exhibition featuring students’ research and artistic works, as well as initiatives from the teaching staff. The exhibition included presentations on artificial intelligence and digital education programmes.

Her Highness also attended a class session and visited the school’s science lab. She engaged in discussions with female educators, teachers, and students from various schools in Muscat Governorate, where participants shared their achievements and initiatives in advancing education, academic development, and cultural awareness.

At the conclusion of her visit, Her Highness signed the school’s Visitors Book, marking this significant occasion and highlighting her continued support for education and the empowerment of women in Oman.
