HRL Signs Agreement with Shenzhen University Institute of Architectural Design & Research Limited in China

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: On 8th December 2025, Mr. Jehanzaib Zahid, Vice Chairman of Habib Rafiq Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd., one of the largest conglomerates in Pakistan renowned for its extensive portfolio across diverse sectors including construction, engineering, and real estate development, visited the Shenzhen University Institute of Architectural Design and Research Limited (SUIADR) in Shenzhen, China, one of China’s top-ranked architectural and urban design research institutes. During the visit, HRL signed a collaboration agreement with the institute to strengthen cooperation in advanced architectural design, research-led development, and smart city innovation.
The agreement was signed between Mr. Jehanzaib Zahid, Vice Chairman of Habib Rafiq Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd., and Mr. Cao Zhuo, President and Chief Executive Officer and Chief Architect of Shenzhen University Institute of Architectural Design and Research Limited, China. Under the agreement, the institute will extend its internationally recognised expertise to Pakistan by working closely with HRL on smart cities, urban planning, architectural concept design, and the introduction of modern, globally benchmarked architectural standards.
As part of the collaboration, Shenzhen University Institute of Architectural Design and Research Limited (SUIADR), China will participate in design reviews, provide technical and research-driven input, and support HRL in developing sustainable, innovative, and high-impact architectural solutions for upcoming major projects in Pakistan.
The MoU signing ceremony included the presence of Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Advisor to the Chairman HRL, Mr. David Chu, Chief Executive Officer of Precise Development (HK) Limited China, Mr. Imran Zahid, Chief Executive Officer of Capital Smart Motors, Mr. Zeeshan Qureshi, Chief Operating Officer of Capital Smart Innovations, along with senior management and technical representatives of the Shenzhen University Institute of Architectural Design and Research Limited, China.
