ICC World Cup 2023: Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by 6 wickets
Dharamshala, The Gulf Observer: In the third match of the ICC One Day World Cup, Bangladesh secured a convincing victory against Afghanistan, winning by 6 wickets.
Here are the key details of the match:
During the initial innings, Afghanistan’s entire team was dismissed for a total score of 156 runs.
In response, Bangladesh successfully chased down the target of 157 runs in the 35th over while losing 4 wickets.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz, opening for Afghanistan, was the top scorer with 47 runs.
Additionally, Ibrahim Zadran contributed 22 runs, while Rahmat Shah and Hashmatullah Shahidi scored 18 runs each. Azmatullah Omarzai also added 22 runs to the total.
For Bangladesh, Najibullah Zadran took 5 wickets, and Mohammad Nabi took 6 wickets, significantly contributing to the fall of the Afghan team.
Rashid Khan secured 9 runs, and Mujeeb Ur Rahman managed just 1 run. Unfortunately, Naveen-ul-Haq and Fazal Farooqi couldn’t add any runs to the scoreboard.
