Ilham Aliyev, Mehriban Aliyeva visit Central Botanical Garden in Baku

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva have got acquainted with the progress of landscaping, reconstruction, and construction process on the territory of the Central Botanical Garden in Baku according to the Azerbaijani media.

Head of the Baku City Executive Authority Eldar Azizov briefed the head of state and First Lady on the ongoing renovation and construction works at the Central Botanical Garden.

The total area of the Central Botanical Garden was increased from 39 hectares to 44.8 hectares. Founded in 1934, the Garden has some 130 types of rare plants.

After examining the progress of renovation, President Ilham Aliyev gave respective instructions and recommendations.
