Indonesia Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka Surpasses Two Million Visitors on 80th Independence Day

Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: The Indonesia Pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, has welcomed over two million visitors since its opening in April, reaching the milestone on August 17, coinciding with Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day.
“This achievement reflects the strong enthusiasm of Japanese visitors and the international community for the Indonesia Pavilion, which carries the theme ‘Thriving in Harmony: Nature, Culture, Future’,” said Rahmat Mulianda, director of the Indonesia Pavilion, in a statement on Monday.
The two-millionth visitor, a resident of Tokyo, was awarded a round-trip flight ticket from Japan to Bali, along with a three-day hotel stay. Mulianda added that additional free ticket prizes will be offered to visitors until the pavilion reaches its target of 2.8 million attendees.
Since April, the pavilion has hosted a variety of programs, including business forums, business matching events, investment promotions, exhibitions of Indonesian crafts, fashion, and food, as well as daily art performances. To date, 51 business forums involving government ministries, agencies, regional administrations, and both Indonesian and international companies have been held.
Mulianda noted that achieving this milestone on Indonesia’s Independence Day has inspired the team to continue delivering exceptional experiences to visitors.
“The Indonesia Pavilion will continue to showcase diverse art performances, Indonesian cuisine, and environmentally friendly innovations that embody the spirit of sustainable development,” he said, expressing hope that the pavilion’s success will bolster Indonesia’s tourism, trade, and investment.
