Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: Indonesian Vice President Ma’ruf Amin has urged the community and all segments of the nation to collaboratively contribute to creating a secure and conducive atmosphere during the election silence period from February 11 to 13, 2024.

Vice President Amin’s spokesperson, Masduki Baidlowi, conveyed that Amin encourages election organizers at both central and regional levels, as well as officers at polling stations, to uphold professionalism and trustworthiness throughout the electoral process. Amin expressed his hope that people will actively visit polling stations to exercise their right to vote.

As Indonesia approaches the final stages of the 2024 General Elections, Vice President Amin emphasized the importance of conducting elections not only safely and peacefully but also in a democratic, honest, and fair manner. Baidlowi stated, “The vice president emphasized that if the elections are held with dignity, people’s trust in state administrators will be higher, and it is good for the future of Indonesia’s democracy.”

Amin also called on the community to refrain from spreading fake or provocative news and to respect each other’s political choices. The vice president expressed his hope that citizens can continue their routine activities during the election silence period while preparing for the election day on February 14, 2024.
