Iran and Russia Commit to Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation During Meeting in Tehran
Tehran, The Gulf Observer: In a meeting with Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian President’s Special Representative for West Asia and Africa, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with Russia in both bilateral and multilateral areas, highlighting the strong and growing relations between Tehran and Moscow.
Bogdanov, who is in Tehran for consultations with Iranian officials, met with Araghchi on Tuesday evening to discuss the future of their nations’ partnership. During the meeting, Araghchi emphasized Iran’s determination to further deepen collaboration across various fields, noting the ongoing efforts to build stronger ties between the two countries.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also referenced the recent visit of a high-ranking Russian economic delegation to Tehran, expressing hope that it would lead to further progress in their bilateral relations.
Araghchi also addressed the current security challenges in the West Asia region, attributing the instability and insecurity to the aggressive actions of the Israeli regime. He cautioned against the potential for the conflict to expand, stressing the importance of regional stability and cooperation to prevent further escalation.
The talks between Araghchi and Bogdanov underscored the continued strengthening of Iran-Russia ties, with both sides expressing mutual interest in enhancing their cooperation and addressing key regional challenges.
