Tehran, The Gulf Observer: In a cordial meeting held on Sunday, Iranian Minister of Education Kazemi met with Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Tehran, Nizamuddin Zahedi, to discuss shared cultural and educational ties and address the challenges surrounding the joint Rudaki School project in Tajikistan.

Highlighting the deep-rooted connections between the two nations, Kazemi emphasized the shared Persian language and the strong cultural, historical, and traditional bonds that unite Iran and Tajikistan.

To expedite the resolution of issues surrounding the opening of Rudaki School, Kazemi proposed the formation of a joint committee comprising members from the Legal and Renovation Department and the International Center of the Ministry of Education. “We are committed to providing educational services to all Tajik students residing in Iran and will address any concerns in this regard,” Kazemi assured, expressing satisfaction with the presence of Tajik speakers in Iran.

Ambassador Zahedi echoed the sentiment, acknowledging the pivotal role of education in societal development. He praised the longstanding cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan, which has resulted in numerous agreements, including those signed under the Joint Economic and Trade Commissions.

Addressing the specific challenges facing the Rudaki School project, Zahedi identified issues related to ownership, textbook content, and management. He expressed optimism that these hurdles would be resolved promptly, enabling the school to open soon.

This meeting underscores the commitment of both nations to fostering educational and cultural collaboration while strengthening their historical and linguistic ties.
