Iran Ready to Work with Regional States to Safeguard Peace and Stability: Araghchi

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has reiterated Iran’s readiness to engage constructively with regional states to protect peace and stability and to shield the region from unlawful aggression.
In a message posted on social media platform X on Saturday, Araghchi said he was always pleased to engage with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Iran–Türkiye bilateral relations and regional issues of mutual concern.
Referring to recent discussions, the Iranian foreign minister reaffirmed that Iran has never sought to acquire nuclear weapons and remains prepared to pursue a fair and equitable nuclear agreement that safeguards the legitimate interests of the Iranian people. He noted that such an agreement must ensure the principle of “no nuclear weapons” while guaranteeing the lifting of sanctions.
Araghchi also welcomed Türkiye’s role, alongside other neighboring countries, in offering good offices aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region. He expressed Iran’s appreciation for these efforts and said Tehran views them positively.
“Iran always stands ready to engage with regional states to protect peace and stability in our region and shield it from unlawful aggression,” Araghchi stated, underscoring Iran’s commitment to dialogue and regional cooperation.
