Iranian Armed Forces Chief Emphasizes Strategic Depth of Iran-Russia Relations
Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, affirmed that the ties between Iran and Russia are strategic and profound, and will remain unaffected by changes in government.
Major General Bagheri made this statement while hosting Russia’s Security Council Secretary, Sergei Shoigu, in Tehran on Monday.
In his remarks, Bagheri highlighted the end of unipolar power in the world, stating that the United States is aware of this shift. He emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes trilateral cooperation between Iran, Russia, and China as part of a multipolar world order.
Secretary Shoigu, on his part, expressed Russia’s readiness to cooperate with Iran on regional affairs, underscoring the commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
The meeting reflects the ongoing strategic partnership and mutual interests between Iran and Russia in regional and global affairs.
