Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi in Muscat on Sunday, as part of his official visit to the Sultanate.

Araghchi arrived in the Omani capital earlier in the day, leading a high-level diplomatic delegation. The meeting between the two foreign ministers focused on bilateral relations, regional developments and issues of mutual interest.

During the visit, Araghchi is also scheduled to participate in the annual “Muscat Forum,” where he will outline Iran’s perspectives on key global issues and ongoing international challenges.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei announced on Friday that Araghchi would travel to Oman before proceeding to the Netherlands to attend the annual meeting of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), scheduled to take place in The Hague.

The visit underscores ongoing diplomatic engagement between Iran and Oman, known for their traditionally close and constructive ties.
