Iranian Interior Minister Confirms Hard Landing of Presidential Helicopter

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iran’s Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi confirmed on national television that one of the helicopters in President Ebrahim Raisi’s convoy had a hard landing in a mountainous region of the Varzaghan District. Search and rescue efforts are currently underway to locate the president’s helicopter.
“Various rescue groups are moving towards the site, but due to the fog and bad weather, it may take time to reach the area. The work is under control,” Minister Vahidi said. He added that contacts have been made with the president’s companions, but the mountainous terrain and poor weather conditions are making communication difficult.
Local Iranian media have reported heavy rain and dense fog in the area, complicating efforts for the rescue teams. Despite these challenges, Vahidi expressed hope that the teams would reach the site soon and provide more information. The Iranian Armed Forces have also deployed commando units and Special Forces to assist in the search operation.
