Iranian President Highlights Economic Cooperation Following Turkmenistan Visit
Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian concluded a two-day visit to Turkmenistan, where he engaged in comprehensive discussions regarding gas, transportation, electricity, and border market agreements with leaders from neighboring countries. Speaking upon his return to Tehran on Friday, President Pezeshkian emphasized the cultural and economic significance of the trip.
During his visit, President Pezeshkian met with counterparts from four nations, including Turkmenistan, Russia, and Uzbekistan. He announced that economic working groups would be established within the next month to finalize and sign the discussed agreements.
In his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Pezeshkian addressed various energy, railroad, and petrochemical projects, underlining the importance of collaborative initiatives. Additionally, he highlighted discussions on Russia’s potential role in regional developments, as well as the urgent need for a unified response to the ongoing humanitarian crises in Gaza and Lebanon caused by the Zionist regime.
President Pezeshkian stated that strengthening ties with neighboring countries is crucial for alleviating the pressures imposed by international sanctions, paving the way for enhanced economic cooperation in the region.
