Iranian President Pezeshkian Defends Missile Program as Key to National Defense

Mashhad, The Gulf Observer : President Masoud Pezeshkian on Thursday firmly rejected calls for Iran to limit its missile program, emphasizing its critical role in the country’s national defense.
Addressing a gathering of political and social activists in South Khorasan province, President Pezeshkian criticized external pressures on Iran, highlighting the perceived double standards in regional security matters. “They tell us not to have missiles, while they arm Israel to the teeth so it can come here whenever it wants, raze everything and leave,” he stated. “I will not accept that.”
The President’s remarks underline Tehran’s stance on maintaining and developing its missile capabilities as a core component of national security amidst ongoing regional tensions.
