Iranian, Russian Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Security and Cooperation

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, focusing on bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.

The discussion primarily revolved around regional security issues. During the call, Araghchi highlighted Iran’s ongoing initiatives and diplomatic consultations with regional countries aimed at enhancing peace and stability. He emphasized the importance of continuing these efforts with the participation of all relevant parties.

Lavrov underscored the establishment of a regional consultation and cooperation framework as an effective approach for addressing issues among regional countries. He also affirmed Moscow’s readiness to maintain close coordination with Tehran in this regard.
