Iranian, Vatican Foreign Ministers Discuss Bilateral and Global Issues

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Vatican Foreign Minister Archbishop Richard Gallagher held a phone conversation on Wednesday to discuss the latest developments in bilateral relations, regional issues, and international affairs.

During the discussion, the two foreign ministers exchanged views on the current status of Iran-Vatican relations, as well as broader geopolitical developments.

Araghchi emphasized the longstanding and positive ties between Iran and the Vatican, highlighting the significance of continued religious dialogue and diplomatic consultations. He expressed hope that these engagements would foster greater mutual understanding among followers of different faiths and contribute to global peace and justice, in line with the shared values of Abrahamic religions.

Archbishop Gallagher, in turn, commended Iran’s constructive approach in maintaining and expanding bilateral interactions. He underscored the importance of collective efforts to uphold peace and promote justice on a global scale.
