IRGC Unleashes Missile Strikes on Israeli Targets in Retaliatory Attack

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) initiated a large-scale retaliatory missile attack on Israel late Tuesday, targeting key military sites in response to recent assassinations and military actions in Palestine and Lebanon. The IRGC confirmed that dozens of ballistic missiles were launched at Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories.

The IRGC stated that the strikes were a direct response to the killings of prominent figures, including Ismail Haniyeh, leader of Hamas, Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, and IRGC commander Abbas Nilforushan. In its official statement, the IRGC warned of further severe retaliation if Israel responded militarily to the operation.

Missiles were fired from various Iranian cities, including Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, and Shiraz, in a coordinated assault. Videos circulating online show missile launches lighting up the skies across the country.

The IRGC emphasized that the operation was carried out with the approval of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, with the backing of the Iranian military and defense ministry. Iran has warned that any military response from Israel would be met with even more destructive strikes.

This escalation follows a period of rising tensions and hostilities between Iran and Israel, particularly in the context of ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon.
