Israel Deploys 65,000 Tonnes of Munitions in ‘Genocidal Conflict’ with Gaza

Gaza, The Gulf Observer: The Gaza Media Office has reported that the Israeli military conducted a relentless barrage on the besieged Gaza Strip, unleashing over 45,000 missiles and bombs weighing a staggering total of more than 65,000 tonnes. This sustained and extensive bombardment marks a grave escalation in the conflict, exacerbating the already dire humanitarian situation in the region. The sheer magnitude of ordnance deployed underscores the intensity of the assault on Gaza, emphasizing the urgent need for international attention and concerted efforts to mitigate the escalating violence and address the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the area.
The assertion, as stated, highlights that aircraft associated with the occupation forces released in excess of 45,000 missiles and substantial bombs, with certain ordnance carrying a payload of up to two thousand pounds of explosives. These actions were purportedly undertaken during what’s described as a comprehensive and genocidal conflict directed at the Gaza Strip. The deliberate targeting of densely populated residential areas is a deeply concerning indication of the scale and severity of the military campaign, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis within the region. Such allegations, if substantiated, underscore the urgent imperative for a concerted international response to safeguard civilian lives and address the escalating conflict with utmost urgency and diplomacy.
The reported quantity of explosives discharged by the military onto the Gaza Strip surpasses an alarming threshold, exceeding a cumulative weight exceeding 65,000 tonnes. This measure, as indicated, exceeds the combined weight and potency of three nuclear devices akin to those deployed in the historical context of the bombings in the Japanese city of Hiroshima. Such a comparison underscores the staggering scale of force employed in the conflict, emphasizing the severity of the ongoing situation within the Gaza Strip. The magnitude of explosives used raises significant concerns regarding the humanitarian impact and necessitates immediate attention from the international community to mitigate further escalation and address the humanitarian needs arising from the conflict.
The office said about “two-thirds of the bombs and missiles … are unguided and imprecise, commonly known as dumb bombs.”
It pointed out that the use of such bombs indicates “the deliberate targeting of indiscriminate and unjustified killing by the occupation, a clear and explicit violation of international law and various international conventions.”
The office documented Israel’s use of around nine internationally banned bombs and missiles against civilians, children and women.
