Israeli Airstrike in Beirut Eliminates Hezbollah Elite Unit Chief

Beirut, The Gulf Observer: The Israeli military announced on Friday that its airstrike in Beirut successfully targeted and eliminated Ibrahim Aqil, the chief of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan unit, along with approximately 10 other senior commanders of the Lebanese group.
Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, spokesperson for the Israeli military, stated during a media briefing, “We targeted those responsible for the daily rocket fire. Ibrahim Aqil, along with senior commanders from the Radwan force, were among those killed. About 10 commanders were killed there.”
The airstrike comes amid escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, with daily rocket fire and military confrontations heightening across the region. The Radwan unit, Hezbollah’s elite military force, has been a key element in the group’s operations.
The strike is seen as a significant blow to Hezbollah’s leadership structure, particularly its military capabilities. Israel has intensified its actions against Hezbollah in response to the group’s ongoing attacks, underscoring its commitment to neutralizing key threats from the region.
