Israeli Forces Detain Around 70 Palestinians in West Bank Raids

Ramallah, The Gulf Observer: Israeli forces have detained approximately 70 Palestinians in a series of raids targeting homes across the occupied West Bank, including the town of Deir Istiya in the Salfit governorate.

Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli soldiers stormed several homes in Deir Istiya, arresting residents, including elderly individuals. The official Palestinian news agency WAFA highlighted that these raids have been ongoing in recent days, with Israeli forces blocking the town’s entrances and exits with barriers.

In addition to the raids in Deir Istiya, Israeli troops also targeted a shop in the nearby village of Haris and opened fire on Palestinians in the city of Jenin.

These actions are part of a broader pattern of Israeli military operations in the West Bank, which have intensified in recent months, drawing widespread international concern. The raids have sparked protests and condemnations from Palestinian leaders and human rights organizations.
