Jokowi visits Malaysia to discuss border issues
Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will discuss border issues, protection of Indonesian migrant workers (PMI), and other important matters during his working visit to Malaysia on June 7-8, 2023.
“We will use this visit to finalize important negotiations that have been going on for years, including border issues and the protection for Indonesian PMIs, as well as other important issues,” the president noted in a press statement here on Wednesday.
Jokowi made this statement before embarking on a working visit to Singapore and Malaysia on June 7-8, 2023.
Jokowi will pay a visit to Malaysia on Wednesday afternoon after making a brief visit in Singapore to be the speaker at the Singapore Ecosperity Week meeting.
In Malaysia, Jokowi will hold a meeting with Prime Minister (PM) Anwar Ibrahim and Malaysian King Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah.
