July 2: Day of State Emblem of Uzbekistan
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: The State Emblem of Uzbekistan can be called a small reflection of the country.
It reflects the hot sun, unique landscapes, majestic mountains, golden valleys, blue waters, and emerald gardens of our Motherland. The Humo bird is the bird of happiness. It symbolizes the independence achieved in 1991 and our prosperity.
The State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan was approved by the Law “On the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan” of July 2, 1992. Article 2 of this law establishes that the State Emblem is a symbol of the state sovereignty of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The image of the State Emblem of the country is placed on the facades of the buildings of the residences of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the chambers of the Oliy Majlis, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Security Service, the National Guard, the Central Bank, the Accounts Chamber, the Central Election Commission, the Jokargy Kenes and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, state governing bodies, prosecutor’s offices, courts, diplomatic missions, consular offices.
The image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan, sacred to us, is depicted in the forms of laws, decrees, resolutions, and orders of the President, resolutions of the chambers of the Oliy Majlis and the Cabinet of Ministers, normative legal acts of ministries, state committees, and agencies.
Every change concerning the country’s life and reforms is inextricably linked with a symbol dear to us. The transformations in the renewed Uzbekistan are inextricably linked with the State Emblem.
According to the country’s legislation, all persons living in Uzbekistan must honor the State Emblem.
