Kazakh and Serbian Presidents Hold Talks to Advance Strategic Bilateral Partnership

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone conversation today with President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, according to media reports.

During the call, both leaders highly praised the positive dynamics in Kazakh-Serbian relations and expressed strong mutual commitment to further deepening bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

The two presidents discussed the implementation of key agreements reached during President Tokayev’s official visit to Belgrade in November 2024. In this regard, they underscored the importance of translating the outcomes of that visit into concrete actions.

Particular emphasis was placed on the need to strengthen trade, economic, and investment cooperation. The leaders identified priority areas for practical collaboration, including industry, energy, construction, agriculture, digitalization, as well as transport and logistics.

Concluding the conversation, President Tokayev reiterated his invitation for President Vučić to undertake an official visit to Kazakhstan, aiming to maintain the high-level political dialogue and further expand the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Separately, it was reported earlier that President Tokayev extended congratulations to Kazakh boxer Janibek Alimkhanuly on the successful defense of his WBO and IBF middleweight world titles.
