Kazakh President Expresses Condolences to President Putin Over Dagestan Terror Attacks
Astana, The Gulf Observer: During a recent conversation, Kazakhstan’s Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, extended his heartfelt condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin and the entire Russian populace regarding the tragic victims of the terror attacks in Dagestan, as reported by the Akorda press service.
President Tokayev emphasized Kazakhstan’s staunch opposition to any acts of violence targeting innocent civilians, categorizing such actions as significant threats to both regional and international security.
Both leaders underscored the necessity of sustained close cooperation in combating terrorism and extremism. They highlighted the importance of unifying efforts through influential international organizations to enhance security measures and prevent future attacks.
In addition to addressing these critical security concerns, Presidents Tokayev and Putin deliberated on strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between Kazakhstan and Russia. They also reviewed the agenda for the forthcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit set to be held in Astana, discussing ways to further promote bilateral relations and cooperation within the SCO framework.
