Kazakh President Expresses Gratitude to UNWTO for Supporting 5th World Nomad Games
Astana, The Gulf Observer: Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has expressed his appreciation to the delegation of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and its Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili for their participation and support in the opening ceremony of the 5th World Nomad Games, according to a report by NHC.
President Tokayev emphasized that this major international event would not only enhance the friendship between nations but also promote Kazakhstan’s global image, showcasing the country’s rich cultural and historical heritage. He reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to continued cooperation with the UNWTO and expressed readiness for joint initiatives aimed at advancing tourism.
In response, Secretary-General Pololikashvili thanked the Kazakh President for the warm reception and praised the high level of organization of the World Nomad Games in Astana. He noted that such events provide valuable opportunities for promoting tourism and supporting the country’s broader economic growth.
During the meeting, discussions focused on expanding the partnership between Kazakhstan and the UNWTO, with an emphasis on practical measures to increase the nation’s appeal as a tourist destination and strengthen its international standing.
