Kazakhstan and Mongolia Strengthen Collaboration in Aviation Safety and Security

Astana, The Gulf Observer: The Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan (AAK) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia (CAA) have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation in the crucial domains of flight safety and aviation security, according to a statement from the AAK as reported by Trend.az.

A delegation of AAK experts, led by Deputy Director General for Aviation Safety Darkhan Espotanov, conducted consultations at the CAA regarding flight preparations to the United States. Following the productive discussions, representatives from both entities resolved to intensify and broaden their collaboration in the realms of flight safety and aviation security.

During the exchange, the parties shared insights into state regulation practices within civil aviation and conducted a visit to Chinggis Khaan International Airport. Discussions delved into various aspects of the civil aviation industry, including certification procedures, supervision of flight safety, aircraft operation, maintenance of airworthiness, licensing of aviation personnel, and the aviation safety framework at the airport.

The AAK highlighted Mongolia’s interest in modernizing its regulatory financing system, enhancing the role of AAK standardizers, and ensuring the proficiency of aviation inspectors.

Furthermore, leveraging AAK’s expertise, representatives from the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia expressed interest in adopting a digital system for overseeing and monitoring flight safety, managing violations, and conducting risk assessments effectively.

The agreement to deepen cooperation underscores the shared commitment of Kazakhstan and Mongolia to uphold the highest standards of safety and security in aviation operations, fostering mutual trust and collaboration in this vital sector.
