Astana, The Gulf Observer: The Government of Kazakhstan has approved a comprehensive action plan aimed at promoting the country’s new Constitution, adopted through a national referendum held on March 15, 2026, according to media reports.

Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov signed the corresponding decree, outlining a structured roadmap to ensure widespread awareness and effective implementation of the constitutional reforms.

The plan encompasses 36 measures across three key areas: organizational initiatives, information and outreach activities, and legal measures. Organizational steps include the publication and broad distribution of the Constitution, including accessible formats for persons with disabilities, digital platform integration, and translation into English. It also предусматривает scientific and expert engagement, thematic exhibitions, and educational projects.

As part of the initiative, the government will introduce training seminars and educational programs, alongside updates to school and university curricula. New academic courses titled “Fundamentals of the Constitution” and “Law and Order” will be developed, supported by modern teaching materials and child-friendly editions.

The information and outreach component will feature a unified calendar of events and a comprehensive media strategy, including television and radio programs, articles, social media content, documentaries, and interactive digital services to enhance public understanding of constitutional provisions.

On the legal front, the action plan предусматривает a review and alignment of existing legislation, policies, and strategic frameworks to ensure consistency with the new Constitution and facilitate its effective enforcement.

The initiative aims to foster broad public awareness and ensure the successful implementation of the new constitutional framework across the country.

In a related development, March 15 has been officially designated as Constitution Day and will be observed annually as a national holiday in Kazakhstan.
