She noted that an extensive public debate on the constitutional reform had taken place over a six-month period, during which more than 2,000 initiative proposals were submitted by citizens, legal scholars, experts, lawyers, political parties, non-governmental organisations, as well as professional and business communities via electronic platforms.

According to the briefing, revised versions of the Constitution’s preamble, along with a number of articles and sections, were developed and reviewed during the Commission’s previous meetings.

Following the discussion, President Tokayev подчеркнул that the upcoming constitutional reform would provide a positive impetus to the country’s development, and praised the Commission’s work as a crucial step in advancing the constitutional reform process.
