“Kazakhstan: Treasures of the Great Steppe” Exhibition Set to Open in Paris on November 6
Paris, The Gulf Observer: On November 6, an exhibition titled Kazakhstan: Treasures of the Great Steppe will open at the Guimet National Museum of Asian Arts in Paris, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Kazakhstan. According to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Culture and Information, the exhibition is the result of close collaboration between the National Museum of Kazakhstan and the Azret Sultan State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve.
The exhibit will feature 35 rare artifacts that illuminate Kazakhstan’s history, with items representing nomadic culture and the evolution of statehood across pivotal periods, including the Hunno-Sarmatian era, the medieval Turkic khanates, the Golden Horde, and the Kazakh Khanate. In addition to these historical pieces, visitors will experience immersive multimedia displays offering deeper insights into Kazakhstan’s cultural legacy.
The exhibition coincides with the state visit of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to France on November 4-5, at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. During his visit, President Tokayev is expected to engage in high-level talks with French officials to discuss enhancing trade, economic, investment, and cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and France. The Kazakh leader is also scheduled to meet with prominent members of the French business community to explore further investment opportunities.
