KazTransOil raises tariff for transit of Russian oil to Uzbekistan
Astana, The Gulf Observer: KazTransOil has approved a new tariff for the transit of Russian oil through the territory of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan.
As the company’s press service reported, in accordance with the order of the Director General of KazTransOil JSC dated December 27, the tariff for the service of KazTransOil JSC for the transportation of oil of Russian origin for the purpose of transit through the territory of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan was approved in the amount of $27.9 per 1 ton without VAT.
The above tariffs are effective from February 1, 2023.
According to Kursiv, the current tariff is $25.12 per 1 ton without VAT.
The tariff includes in the cost of pumping oil along the route the border of the Russian Federation with the Republic of Kazakhstan – the Shagyr oil loading station – $24.28 per 1 ton without VAT and the tariff for loading into railway tanks at the Shagyr oil loading station – $0.84 per 1 ton without VAT.
Unlike internal tariffs for oil transportation, which are regulated by the state and approved by the Chairman of the Committee for Regulating Natural Monopolies of the Ministry of National Economy, tariffs for the transit and export of hydrocarbons can be set by the national company independently.
