Kuwait Reshuffles Cabinet with Emiri Decree
Kuwait City, The Gulf Observer: In a significant governmental reshuffle, Kuwait’s Emir issued an Emiri decree on Sunday, reorganizing the nation’s cabinet. The decree has reaffirmed the positions of several key ministers while introducing new faces to critical governmental roles.
Abdulrahman Badah Al-Mutairi has been reappointed as Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, continuing his leadership in the sectors pivotal to Kuwait’s cultural and youth development. Dr. Nora Khaled Al-Mashaan will maintain her role as Minister of Public Works, overseeing infrastructure projects vital to the country’s development.
Omar Saud Abdulaziz Al-Omar has been reappointed as Minister of State for Communications Affairs, a role in which he has been integral in advancing Kuwait’s communications infrastructure. Mahmoud Abdulaziz Mahmoud Bushehri remains Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, where he will continue to lead efforts in sustainable energy initiatives. Dr. Amthal Hadi Hayef Al-Huwailah continues as Minister of Social Affairs and Family and Childhood Affairs, focusing on social welfare and family policies.
The reshuffle has also seen the introduction of new cabinet members. Khalifa Abdullah Dhahi Ajeel Al-Askar has been appointed as Minister of Commerce and Industry, tasked with driving economic growth and trade. Abdullatif Hamed Hamad Al-Meshari takes on the roles of Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, overseeing urban development and housing projects.
Dr. Nader Abdullah Mohammad Al-Jallal assumes the position of Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and will serve as Acting Minister of Education, bringing expertise to Kuwait’s education sector. Nora Suleiman Al-Fassam has been appointed as Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs, where she will play a crucial role in managing the country’s financial policies and investment strategies.
